Next RemodelUrban Gourmet
A total face-lift with personal appeal – this kitchen brings gourmet potential to an urban condo. The restrictions inherent in condominium renovation dictated that structural changes remain limited. A bank of upper cabinets closed off the original kitchen. A cookie-cutter dining room looked like an afterthought. The floor plan was opened up ingeniously by unifying the entire kitchen and dining area, maximizing natural light and adding flexible service and entertainment spaces. The kitchen harmonizes strong visual elements; glass and steel, travertine and slab-granite, and a spectacular hand-scraped, maple floor. Space so skillfully planned the home feels even larger.
'Being our 1st remodel, Estate Homes did an excellent job in explaining the planning and design process. We were impressed with the experience and professionalism of the team they assembled for us. They took the time to do a good job; they listened to us and our ideas and improved upon them while maintaining a budget.' Paul and Stephanie Hagedorn, Seattle
